Insurance Services
What Are You Really Looking for In Services From Your
Insurance Broker?
There are usually two answers. Some people are looking for depth
of products and services and others are looking for a service commitment.
Both are important!
Our Products and Services
- We keep relationships with standard insurance companies, sureties,
and specialty insurance companies across the United States and
in Europe. This means you have access to a tremendous insurance
market reservoir. It also means that if we do not have expertise
in a particular line of coverage we can direct you to a specialist
that can help.
- In house we have specialists in bonding, commercial property
and casualty insurance, personal insurance, health insurance,
life insurance products and loss control and safety program development.
- In short, if it’s an insurance product, we can find
it for you or direct you to a specialist that has access to the
product or insurance service you need.

Our Service Commitments
When I teach sales courses to other agents, I am frequently told
that, “My agency provides great service to our clients!” When
asked exactly what that means my inquiry is met with silence or
I’m given a sales technique as a response.
In fairness, I think this is because “great service” means
different things to different people on different days. Nevertheless,
here’s what it means at The Butler Company:
- You need to know that we did, what you instructed us to do,
when you request a change in your insurance. You deserve to know
when it was done and have it verified in writing.
- You deserve to have your privacy protected. We promise to
treat your confidential information as if it was ours. We would
never consider selling it!
- You deserve multiple communication channels such as phone,
fax, mail or email.
- You deserve a detailed proposal of what you are buying written
in easy to understand language.
- You deserve a cheerful attitude from our staff. After all,
you are calling with a problem and we may be your only hope of
help.
- You deserve promptness of response from us. If it’s
going to take time to get you an answer, we will give you our
best estimate of how long it will take.
- You deserve our best effort to accommodate your request. If
your request is illegal under our complicated insurance laws
or unethical, we’ll tell you so. That way we both stay
out of trouble.
- You deserve access to us or your insurance company in case
of an emergency. Our phone system will page a staff member 24/7.
Insurance companies that have 24/7 claim service are routinely
posted on our web pages.
- You deserve the convenience of service that technology will
allow. Take a look at the services available on our website.
If you have suggestions of how we can improve our service on
the web, we will listen.
- You deserve to know that we will only place your protection
with insurance companies that are rated A- or better by A. M.
Best. If there is an exception, we will inform you and ask your permission
before placing the coverage.
This is not an inclusive list but I think it gives you an idea
about our commitment. If this sounds like the kind of insurance
broker relationship you want, we would be honored to represent
you. And if you do honor us with your business, we will always
strive to merit the trust you have placed in us.
